Need to increase my customer satisfaction...

I'm sorry I've been MIA again. Time to start seriously getting my blog on. After all, I am a writer and it's a bit pathetic.

My first topic of conversation - Apple's new webisode, for lack of a better description. They have two web banners interacting with each other on cnn.com/tech (click on my title to access) and it's freak'n great. I don't think PC / Microsoft / Vista / Crispin will be catching up any time soon.

I have cheated....

My sincere apologies to my loyal fan. I have been moonlighting on another blog site - what, it happens! In the past couple months I have let my own personal blog site suffer as I wrote for a Talent Zoo blog titled 12pointtype.com. At first it was positioned as an advertising site - anybody in the industry, all disciplines, were "hired" (and I use that term loosely - no pay was involved), to comment on life in this crazy world. However, yesterday, they not only redesigned the look of the site but they relabeled it - for designers, by designers. What? I'm just as opinionated as the next copywriter about art direction and design but I definitely don't consider myself a designer. Okay, if my partner is reading this he may disagree. Anyway, I'm not sure what the dealio is but I'm going to get to the bottom of it. ;-)

So, the point of this story - I will either keep on keeping on and just re-post here as well or concentrate my efforts on my own site. Either way, please feel free to check out the posts I did write - just type in "christine" under the search button or click on the title of this post for a direct link.

Peace out

Still waiting for my Jesus Coin Purse...

I have yet to get a response from Fallon. I'm now changing my judgement from this being a genius idea to it being a pretty great idea. Genius would have been them actually selling the items by responding to would be people trying to buy. I sent my email days ago, inquiring that my change be held by the divine one. No one has answered.

Craigslist Blue Light Fallon Special

Fallon has done it again. Genius strikes this time in form of an online moving sale. The impetus - Fallon has relocated to a new building and left some precious and not so precious items behind. A "Lord of the Rings" statue can be yours for a mere $5. Just click on the title of my post to check out the full line up for yourself. I've got my eye on the whip. Never you mind what it's for.

Sidewalk Rage...

Okay, I know you've all heard of road rage but what about sidewalk rage? Don't know what that is? Neither did I until I experienced it yesterday. And I'm not proud of this by the way but here it is nonetheless. This is quite a story, so I hope you have a few minutes!

So, I was already running late and needed to take a shuttle to my car (this is at the airport btw). I see the shuttle I need as I'm descending the stairs, but alas, it is gone by the time I get there. Who knew the next one wouldn't be coming by for another 20 minutes? (It might have only been 10 but that's what it felt like.)Finally, it is upon approach but stops shy of reaching its destination - me - to let people cross. And then let some more people cross. And more. Then a few more. OMG - this could go on forever!

My sidewalk rage is starting to boil. I start talking to myself. I think the people next to me thought I was a bit, how shall I say? Umm, unbalanced. I throw my one carry on item down on the ground in outrage of this driver's good will. "I've got somewhere to be buddy," I curse under my breath.

He finally crosses. I get on in a huff and pick the front seat so I can get off first. People hit me with their luggage as they try to put it on the luggage cart, which is in front of me. Next stop Terminal 2. More people get on. I get hit in the shin this time. Today I have a bruise there. Now we're headed to the parking lot. I'm at shuttle stop 2 but I'm sure you know where this story is headed. We stop at shuttle stop 4, then 3, then 1. Yep, logic would dictate 2 would have come after 3, since the driver was obviously going in reverse order right? No, you would be wrong. Now someone needs help getting their luggage. The driver gets out. As he settles back in to his seat I try to politely ask if he plans on stopping at shuttle stop 2. He answers me a bit irritated - like he senses I'm a bit disturbed. Yes, it's next. However, instead of stopping in front of the shuttle stop (which my car was conveniently parked in front of), he keeps going. Now my sidewalk rage is turning in to shuttle driver rage! He stops up ahead where someone is walking with luggage. They weren't even trying to get on - they already got off and were walking to their car! You know, what I should have been doing! And as soon as he parted those shuttle doors, I was off like a dog in heat.

I am happy to report I am now safe to be around and not a threat to myself or others.

What's the deal with Roxanne?

San Diego station 94.1 has been playing the beloved song like it's going out of style. Are we back in 1978 again? Or are they trying to introduce the song to those born in the 90's? Come on, once in awhile is great - I love to hear an old song I haven't heard in awhile...but every day I turn on the radio? I mean, I hope Roxanne doesn't wear that red dress again. Tonight or any other night. It's got to be pretty busted by now. I'm just say'n...

But in case you long to experience this classic by The Police, click on the title of this post to see it via youtube. I'm going to go walk the streets for money now. I don't care if it's wrong or if it's right.

The neighbor's cat...

His name is Kit Kat. Being the chocolate lover I am, it took me months before I realized Kat = Cat. I know, not too quick for a brilliant mind such as mine. But what a rock'n name huh? I thought so too.

Keep your eye on the ball....

It's a phrase used amongst fathers everywhere. Teaching their sons and daughters the joys of baseball, softball, or anything that involves a ball for that matter. But as we get older, it has nothing to do with a ball at all. (Hey, that rhymed!) The ball becomes a metaphor. It represents all the tangibles and intangibles we are striving for - the better job, the better body, the better boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, or husband, the better house, the better car, the better life. So maybe you're saying to yourself, "So what? I like to keep my eye on the ball." Well to you I say, forget about the ball. The ball is not important. Today is important. Love the ones you're with today. Appreciate what you have today.

I know, my last two posts have been really deep. My moon must be in retrograde or something! I promise my next post will be ridiculously undeep. :-)

I yam what I yam...

I can't pretend to be anyone else. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I love unconditionally. I prefer to make people laugh, rather than cry. I'm better at giving advice than taking my own. I won't settle for less when I deserve more. I'll admit my mistakes, well, if I have to. I hate peas. I love kitties and puppies. I don't understand why people can't follow their hearts. I think life is too short and we shouldn't waste a minute of it putting off until tomorrow what we should be doing today. I hate brussel sprouts. I love coffee. I would do anything for my family and friends. I am who I am.

And I call myself a writer....

Shame on me for letting my blog go abandoned all these months...I'm a disgrace! Well, at least I am a busy disgrace or else I would be writing more often, huh? As far as I know, I'm only letting one person down - my friend Noel. I believe he is my one and only true fan. Thank you Noel! You rock.

And just in case anyone else has by chance stumbled upon my business, here's some business for you...

If a writer writes in a forest but no one is there to see her write, how do we know she still wrote it?

That cat up there fell asleep pondering this very same question.
